چکیده

Small perturbations of a black brane are interpreted as small deviations from thermodynamic equilibrium in a dual theory with the AdS/CFT correspondence. Quasinormal modes are solutions to linearized equations obeyed by classical fluctuations of a gravitational background subject to specific boundary conditions and are also gauge-invariant quantities. We give analytic solutions for each fluctuation that compose such quantities. Then, in a place slightly away from the horizon Brown and York boundary stress tensor is calculated. Using them, we make conserved stress tensor near the horizon which can represent dissipative parts of stress tensor in the dual theory by holography. Thus, we propose gravitational counterparts of sound modes in the membrane paradigm. 1 E-mail address : [email protected]

A Note on Thermodynamics and Holography of Moving Giant Gravitons

In our previous work (Phys. Rev. D63, 085010, hep-th/0011290), we showed that the brane universe on the giant graviton moving in the near-horizon background of the dilatonic D(6 − p)-brane is described by the mirage cosmology. We study thermodynamic properties of the moving giant graviton by applying thermodynamics of cosmology and the recently proposed holographic principles of cosmology. We f...

Interacting holographic dark energy model and generalized second law of thermodynamics in non-flat universe

In the present paper we consider the interacting holographic model of dark energy to investigate the validity of the generalized second laws of thermodynamics in non-flat (closed) universe enclosed by the event horizon measured from the sphere of the horizon named L. We show that for L as the system’s IR cut-off the generalized second law is respected for the special range of the deceleration p...

The Holographic Model of Dark Energy and Thermodynamics of Non-Flat Accelerated Expanding Universe

Motivated by recent results on non-vanishing spatial curvature [1] we employ the holographic model of dark energy to investigate the validity of first and second laws of thermodynamics in non-flat (closed) universe enclosed by apparent horizon RA and the event horizon measured from the sphere of horizon named L. We show that for the apparent horizon the first law is roughly respected for differ...

Horizon Holography

A holographic correspondence between data on horizon and space-time physics is investigated. We find similarities with the AdS/CFT correspondence, based on the observation that the optical metric near the horizon describes a Euclidean asymptotically anti-de Sitter space. This picture emerges for a wide class of static space-times with a non-degenerate horizon, including Schwarzschild black hole...
